Murder is Okay, and Other Stories is a collection of five short stories that span the genres of contemporary, horror, and fantasy. Multiple stories include characters dying, or wanting to die, or killing… What I'm saying is there's death. Not in all the stories, but it's still a big theme for the collection. In the first and last story, the characters are furries.
The first of the five stories, "Murder is Okay," explores the hatred of Addy, a young lop bunny girl who lives in poverty with her alcoholic single dad.
"Not Good Enough" is about a guy who has to decide between his parkour career and his girlfriend's needs.
The fantasy "It's Always Watching" shrouds Dern, the main character, with paranoia as local creatures stare him down.
In "Danny's Thief," Danny is trying to give up thievery, but he's out of money, and he wants to get something for his best friend since it's their favorite holiday. This story focuses on guilt, redemption, and becoming a new person.
In the contemporary horror story "Winter Vacation," a squirrel boy named Jacob goes on vacation with his family where a creature stalks him in the snowy mountains at night.
