A freak blizzard leaves three rival nobles trapped in a mysterious and foreboding castle. As the winds howl outside, horrors emerge from the castle's dark halls and dredge up the worst in its reluctant guests.
Princess Meliore, heir to a dying kingdom, decides she must take charge in the castle, though she is not ready for the terrors she faces. Her companions' already shaky adherence to her leadership grows weaker, so she resorts to dark tactics to maintain authority.
The elf Aziv is the sole survivor of his massacred family. He promised to bring the killers to justice, but has made little progress in his quest. When the dark corridors of the castle whisper the answers Aziv seeks, he delves into the shadows.
Sepolo Zeno is the heir to a ruthless house, though he tries to fight his darker nature. The ghosts of the castle prey on him, and he cannot trust the living he shares the castle with. He may not like his family's merciless nature, but embracing that evil may be his only chance of survival.
As the nobles unravel, a promise of blood saturates the castle halls.
