My name is Carmon Green. I proudly identify as a black woman, a devoted follower of Christ, and a dedicated wife. My greatest joys stem from nurturing my two biological adult sons, cherishing my beautiful stepdaughter, and guiding my two intelligent stepsons through their formative years.
Raised in Philadelphia, Pa., by a resilient single mother alongside three siblings, my early years were marked by humble beginnings and formidable challenges. Seeking solace, I found refuge & purpose within my community church, where I was called to serve as an ordained deaconess for a decade, offering spiritual support.
Guided by faith, I embarked on a 25-year journey in law enforcement, answering God's call to serve & protect. Later in life, I pursued higher education, delving into the realms of psychology & criminal justice, culminating in the attainment of a bachelor's degree in science.
My background and experiences have given me a taste of the good & bad aspects of society.
I have encountered numerous people on the road, made friends for life, and encountered unfavorable people on my travels.
Nevertheless, I value & treasure them all, for they are a part of my blueprint of growth.
To you, my newfound friend, I extend my heartfelt gratitude for choosing to share in the laughter, smiles, and tears of my creative journey. Your unwavering support means the world to me.
REMEMBER :
We all weave through life with events that test our emotional and mental resilience. Even though we might not have chosen the difficulties we encounter, the healing process is uniquely ours.
We frequently internalize our suffering, letting it fester and contaminate our entire existence. But facing our inner selves and making the painful but necessary journey toward genuine healing is where true power resides.
May we embrace the essence of "Self" and aspire to greatness with purposeful intent.
May God's blessings guide and sustain us on our journey.
Warm regards,
Carmon Green
Who made the unwritten rule that we need to ignore our mental health and suffer in silence? In a secret evaluation of self, do you experience anxiety, manipulation, fear of being judged, hurting others with lack of empathy, crying and hating yourself, satisfied with blaming others and justifying your bad behaviors, even when you are in the wrong? Do you ever wonder where these traits come from and why you're comfortable enough with them that you make excuses not to seek help? Well, you are not alone.
This is not a cultural thing or a family curse. It may be a series of events that you've experienced which internalized as trauma. It created fear and a need for validation. It also created a false narrative for self-preservation by any means necessary.
This is NOT another stereotypical cultural tale but a human story of self-struggles and self-inflicted pain. Sometimes the "hell" we live in isn't the trauma we experience, but our minds, where masked pain and unhealed wounds manifest.
Set against the gritty backdrop of Philadelphia, "What in Hell Does God Want?" delves into the lives of Sasha, Tasha, and Sade—a fractured unit grappling with the weight of unspeakable traumas. The sisters find themselves ensnared in a web of pain, despair, and betrayal.
As the family grapples with the aftermath of death and physical abuse, Sasha and Tasha sought refuge, desperately trying to fill the void left by their shattered lives. Unaware that they are lost and adrift, the sisters embark on a harrowing journey, finding a false sense of safety and happiness, after seeking solace in all the wrong places.
As more tragedy consumes them, they struggle to make sense of their lives. They must confront their inner demons and embrace the transformative power of faith and forgiveness. Will they ever discover what God wants in the darkest part of their confusion and "hell" within their minds? Will they ever accept God's presence and His desire to be wanted by them? Will they seek understanding, or will it be too late?
