Jesus said that He is the Lord of the Sabbath. What did He mean? What does it mean for Christians today?
When the Pharisees were arguing with Jesus over Sabbath observance, Jesus had a surprising answer for them. "For the Son of Man is Lord even of the Sabbath." (Matthew 12:8, MKJV) This is a huge statement! Jesus is declaring Himself as the owner and ruler of the Sabbath. The Sabbath was instituted for Him, and as we will see, even by Him. This book is dedicated to that reality, which is often misunderstood and neglected. The is much more to understand concerning this declaration!
