Dewey Pellicano is trying to make a go of Quilter Paradiso. An upcoming appearance on a nationally televised show, puts the shop—and Kym --in the spotlight. Unfortunately, it also gives Kym a lot of unwarranted bravado.
The Stitch 'n' Bitch group is fighting, an unseemly sight for women over a certain age. Dewey is acting as a go-between when a strange man dies in her alley. She can only hope this will not affect the big sale happening on the weekend. She needs the money from the sale to keep the shop open.
Buster Healy—still hot and hunky-- is not on the murder case, but he is on Dewey's case. She tries to balance it all until she identifies the killer.
