I was born in South Africa. I came to America as a baby. Dallas, Texas is my hometown, but I now live in Mexico. When I was 12, I was placed into the Masonic Home in Ft Worth - a boarding school, due to family turmoil. I graduated as valedictorian of my 1990 senior class. I am a US veteran. I write fiction, nonfiction and poetry - and I am also an artist. Jesus is my Lord and Savior. My wife Luz and I worship Christ as our God.
This story about the modern Rahab is an example of living a life of darkness. It is a lesson in the deceitfulness of sin. This book shows the inner workings of a whorehouse, without the nasty details: it reveals the daily operations, inside and outside the house of harlotry, without making the reader want to vomit. What this tale divulges is that the best house of ill-repute in New York City was less about sex and more about politics, business and psychology. This account has all the big names of the Big Apple during the first part of the 20th century, who were involved with Rahab's house of ill-repute - either for or against. And this tale ends with how the New Yorker named Rahab got in touch with her inner Rahab - that woman who was rescued by Joshua's men thousands of years ago. This short novel reveals how Rahab, who started out life in relative decency, ended up coming to America and turned into a poor chicken that desired the society of others, yet found herself bringing together a flock of sinners for the sake of carnal survival. Instead of laying eggs like most women, she ended up raising young hellions. Rahab, as a result, dominated the sex industry of America's most famous city, always mindful of the pecking order, caring only for food access and perverted nesting locations. There were times when either she or the police would remove hens or roosters from the flock, causing a temporary disruption to her social order - but it would not be long until a new pecking order was established. Then the day came when her spiritual cock crowed, and like Peter of old, she could no longer add hens to her adulterous flock, and all she was left with was a heart ready for mercy, instead of further fighting within herself and contributing to the injuries of others.
