Initiation into Hermeticism known in the ancient mystery schools as the "Adept" program is one of the oldest on the planet, it is a unique way to enhance the connection with the Light, to increase contact with the Hierarchy of Light. These three degrees also have a specific practical significance, and for this reason they play a substantial role in much of the material that we will cover in
Hermetic Institute. The initiation of the first degree establishes an etheric connection, a link of light, between the candidate and the balanced energies of the macrocosm. The Second Degree Initiation uses this link to raise the levels of experience, helping the candidate to come into more direct contact with the higher levels of the universe and of the self in order to assimilate, integrate and manifest them on the physical plane. Third Degree Initiation reverses the process and brings these higher potencies down to every level of the self, including the physical body, bringing each level into harmony with the others, while at the same time enabling the candidate to disseminate the knowledge received and the mystical experience lived.
