Mr.Ashutosh Garad completed his M.E. in ENTC Engineering and now pursuing PhD in Electronics and worked in a SVERIS College of Engineering Pandharpur.
This presents the design and implementation of a solar-powered automatic pet feeder utilizing key components such as the ESP8266 microcontroller, DC motor, relay module, solar panel, and switch.
The proposed system aims to automate the feeding process for pets, ensuring timely and consistent food delivery while being energy-efficient and environmentally friendly.
The ESP8266 microcontroller serves as the core component, enabling wireless communication and control over the feeding mechanism. A DC motor, controlled via a relay module, drives the dispensing mechanism to release a predetermined amount of food at scheduled intervals. The power
supply for the system is harnessed from a solar panel, making the feeder independent of external power sources and suitable for deployment in remote areas.
A switch is incorporated to allow manual operation and system reset when necessary. The integration of solar energy not only makes the device sustainable but also reduces operational costs.
The system's design is validated through a series of tests, demonstrating its reliability and effectiveness in managing pet feeding routines autonomously. This solution offers a practical and eco-friendly approach to pet care, particularly for pet owners with demanding schedules or those in off grid
