With his uncle, Thunder Jin, an eighteen years old youth, went to visit his father who left their home and became a monk after a misunderstanding with his mother who had already passed away. On their way, they came to Heart Broken Tower which could not let a man walk away alive for thirty steps in night as the man would be bewitched by the girl in the tower, Thunder Jin was immediately bewitched by a shadowy girl shown up in a metal mirror of the tower, and his uncle could only take him away on shoulders after he was struck on his head. When they were about to reach the temple of his father, they noticed the temple was burning. While running to the temple, they came across his father who was wounded by a knife which was inserted from his back and came out of his chest. Before his father took his last breath, his father said he was wounded by people from Hundred Poisons School, then his father threw him away with his staff over the tops of trees by his last strength. When he woke up, he saw a beautiful girl staying at his side and was looking at him, then he noticed the corpse of his father at his side. With the help of the girl, Little Butterfly, and her granny, he buried his father. In the night, he came to the side of his father's grave, stayed there for whole night. In next morning, his uncle came back with Scarlet Sword and was wounded badly, his uncle told him to run away with the sword and the girl for their lives as he was chased after by a powerful woman who could kill a person by sound of her stringless zither with a nickname of Stringless Zither Su. The girl and Thunder Jin helped his uncle to the house of her granny. It turned out his uncle was the father of the girl, and they had never met before. While his uncle was hiding in the house, Stringless Zither Su came to the house with eight strong men in black clothes for Scarlet Sword. While they were fighting for the sword, another most powerful and cruel man, with a nickname of Heart Ripping Guest who would kill people like to cut grasses and would rip the heart of his victim into pieces, came to the place for the sword too. None dared to run away from Heart Ripping Guest, he killed everyone present except Thunder Jin and the girl to keep his owning of the sword as a secret. Then......
