Crown Prince Henry of Cent is tasked with an unenviable assignment: collect taxes on behalf of his father, the king. Meanwhile, Special Operative Hal Bennet is also on a deadly assignment in an abandoned village located in the deserts of Afghanistan. Sent to capture a ruthless arms dealer, Hal's mission takes a turn for the worse leaving the soldier injured, traumatized, and in need of recovery.
Seeking solace in an isolated cabin in northern Maine, Hal questions what that future holds. But when there is a mysterious knock at his cabin's door, the answer that he receives is beyond his wildest imaginings.
