La religión de los pueblos nahuas, y en concreto la de los mexicas, constituye un tema complejo. Este libro pretende dar una visión general de los principales aspectos de la religión nahua tales como la cosmovisión, los dioses y los ritos, y sus relaciones con diversos ámbitos de la sociedad como la guerra, la política y la educación. Se incluyen también dos capítulos sobre la religión de los pueblos nahuas actuales, ya que en muchos casos se conservan elementos ancestrales en interrelación con concepciones católicas introducidas por los misioneros españoles.
