With each new rig in place his reputation and self-confidence grows exponentially. Upon the death of his father, Kit returns home prepared to finally take on directorship of Red Cloud Petroleum. The bitter cost of losing the love of his life prepares Kit to acknowledge and appreciate Trinity's career as a physician and so is rewarded with the son he never knew he had!
