Austin Dragon is the author of over 30 books in science fiction, fantasy, and classic horror. His works include the sci-fi noir detective LIQUID COOL series, the epic fantasy FABLED QUEST CHRONICLES, the international futuristic epic AFTER EDEN Series, the classic SLEEPY HOLLOW HORRORS, and new military sci-fi PLANET TAMERS series. He is a native New Yorker but has called Los Angeles, California home for more than twenty years. Words to describe him, in no particular order: U.S. Army, English teacher, one-time resident of Paris, movie buff, Fortune 500 corporate recruiter, renaissance man, futurist, and dreamer.
C. E. Clayton is an award winning author born and raised in the greater Los Angeles area. After going the traditional career route and becoming restless, she went back to her first love—writing—and hasn’t stopped. She is the author of the young adult fantasy series “The Monster of Selkirk”, the creator of the cyberpunk Eerden Novels, and her horror short stories have appeared in anthologies across the country. When she’s not writing you can find her treating her fur-babies like humans, constantly drinking tea, and trying to convince her husband to go to more concerts. And reading. She does read quite a bit. More about C.E. Clayton, including her blog, book reviews, social media presence, and newsletter can be found on her website.
Kate Sheeran Swed loves hot chocolate, plastic dinosaurs, and airplane tickets. She has trekked along the Inca Trail to Macchu Picchu, hiked on the Mýrdalsjökull glacier in Iceland, and climbed the ruins of Masada to watch the sunrise over the Dead Sea. After growing up in New Hampshire, she completed degrees in music at the University of Maine and Ithaca College, then moved to New York City. She currently lives in New York’s capital region with her husband and son, and two cats who were named after movie dogs (Benji and Beethoven).
Her stories have appeared or are forthcoming in the Young Explorer’s Adventure Guide Volume 5, Electric Spec, Daily Science Fiction, and Andromeda Spaceways. She holds an MFA in Fiction from Pacific University. You can find her on Instagram @katesheeranswed.
Caitlin Demaris McKenna is a freelance editor and writes about future technologies and faraway worlds. She has visited three continents, and lived in Vancouver and New York. She grew up in the Minnesota woods, where on clear winter nights, she would look up at the stars and wonder.
Andrew Sweet is an author, social activist and equality advocate, and software engineer who uses his writing, in science fiction and other genres, to explore the dynamic of power in an ocean of ever-changing technological advancement.

Welcome to CROOKED V.2, the second volume of sci-fi crime stories edited by Jessie Kwak.
In this volume you'll find 18 stories of mayhem and tangled loyalties. Bounty hunters chase targets who aren't what they seem. Private eyes hunt wrongdoers in mean, futuristic streets—and are hunted in return. Easy jobs go wrong. Hunted bounties get wily. Mysteries are solved, only to lead to more horrifying mysteries.
Sometimes the bad guys win, sometimes the good guys do. And, hey. It's a crime anthology. Most of the time it'll be pretty damn hard to tell the two apart. These folks are just trying to do their best (or not) in morally gray worlds.
The mission of the CROOKED anthology series is to introduce you, the reader, to authors who are currently writing sci-fi crime stories. Many of the short stories in this collection are set in larger universes, which means that if you read something you like, you'll find plenty more stories by that author to keep you busy.
This anthology contains stories by C.E. Clayton, Austin Dragon, Jim Keen, G.J. Ogden, Patrick Swenson, Maddi Davidson, Kate Sheeran Swed, Frasier Armitage, Mark Teppo, E.L. Strife, Greg Dragon, William Burton McCormick, Erik Grove, Mark Niemann-Ross, Caitlin Demaris McKenna, R J Theodore, Andrew Sweet, and Jessie Kwak.
