'Caravan to Calvaire' is the sister story to 'Goodbye Beau'.
Both stories seek to answer the age-old questions - Who are we? Where do we belong?
Kipp, at age thirty, takes a pin and sticks it in a map. The journey begins. He finds Calvaire, and Clément, a blacksmith. For five years he toils away at the forge side, becoming increasingly doubtful that he has found his place in the world, and the man he is meant to be with.
He leaves and returns to his Mother's house in London.
Now, aged forty-five, and ten years after quitting the forge and Clément, he returns to Calvaire.
